| Shipping Information |
At DePaula Confections, we will try our best to get chocolates to you in the best
condition possible - fresh and beautiful. If you are local to Portland, Oregon, then
you have the option to pick up your order here, by appointment, and save a siginificant amount in
shipping costs. Otherwise, we will pack the chocolates as carefully as possible and
send them via an express mail service. During warm periods, it is necessary to use cool packs
and insulated shipping containers. Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- DePaula Confections produces high quality chocolates and confections in very
small quantities. Consequently, we do not keep large quantities on hand.
Although we can usually ship orders within a few days, an order placed one week in
advance is always appreciated so that your order will arrive when you wish.
- During warmer periods (approximately May through October or anytime your local
temperature is above 68F) all orders should sent via
Overnight Express Mail, Monday-Thursday, and cool packaging is used if needed.
- During cooler periods (approximately November through April) all orders can be sent
via 2nd Day Priority Mail, Monday-Wednesday. Usually, cool packaging is not needed.
- At this time, we can only ship to U.S. locations. Hawaii and Alaska may incur an
additional shipping charge.
- We recommend that someone is available to accept the package. DePaula Confections,LLC
cannot be held responsible for packages lost, stolen or damaged after delivery.
If you desire that a signature is obtained before delivery of your package,
please let us know when you place your order. If no one is available to accept
the package, the express mail service may make further attempts at delivery
before returning it to us.
NB: DePaula Confections,LLC cannot refund purchases if the product is damaged or melted because of high
heat and proper shipping options have not been chosen i.e. cooling gel packs and express overnight delivery.
- Please be certain that the address you give us is correct. We cannot be responsible
for a package that has an incorrect address.
